Hi Austin, hi Grey

As you will know, ESMA released an updated reporting manual for ESEF at the beginning of September.

I wanted to reach out, whether you would appreciate it if I add the changes in a Github story. To be honest, I think (after a quick review) the changes to the ESEF plugin will probably be modest overall.

If Greg and his colleagues at Acsone are already on it (like last year), please just le me know and I will try my best to test the updated plugin, once it is available.

Thank you guys and kind regards,
Sacha

PS: Hope to see some of you at Data Amplified in October?

Hi Sacha,

We've had initial discussions on how to handle the ESEF updates this year and decided to merge the existing ESEF and ESEF_2022 plugins and use disclosure systems to select between the two. Once that's complete Greg and Acsone will begin implementing the rule updates for 2023 (and add new disclosure systems for 2023). I just created a tracking issue over on GitHub with our analysis. Let us know if there's anything you're aware of that we missed.

I'll be at Data Amplified and looking forward to meeting you!

Hello Austin,

Thank you for your message.
I think that sounds like a very good plan.

Your tracking issue of the changes in 2023 is pretty comprehensive.
I will review and (if necessary in our point of view) will add feedback directly in Github. "Unfortunately" (due to vacation) this can only happen after Data amplified.
Also, on another note, there will be a discussion with XBRL Germany's iXBRL working group regarding the Reporting manual next week, so hopfeully I will be able to include some of the conclusions of this group as well.

Looking forward to see you in our hometown of Zurich soon!

Thanks and best regards,
Sacha
