PREMIER LEADERSHIP - PERSONAL GROWTH - CAREER SUCCESS

Greetings from Colorado.

The Colorado State 4-H Team, along with superintendents from across numerous states, are working hard to prepare for the 2025 Western National Roundup, set for January 7-10, 2026. This national event is an opportunity for 4-H and FFA youth to showcase their learning at a National level.

We wanted to remind you of the many competitive events that are open to FFA teams to participate in, hoping that your state would have a group of youth interested in coming to Denver in January 2026.

Each State can send one FFA team in the following contests:

  • Meats Judging
  • Livestock Judging
  • Horse Judging
  • Livestock Quiz Bowl
  • Livestock Skill-a-thon

We do not have an all-inclusive State FFA email list, so please share with other states.

In response to input from our state partners and past participants, we are excited to highlight a few changes for this year’s event:

  • Registration fees were decreased to $200 per contestant.
  • New this year, youth can compete in multiple contests. Please note - It is their responsibility to make sure the events don’t conflict, as superintendents will not alter judges' schedules to accommodate overlaps.
  • New this year, the Horse Judging Contest is now open to FFA teams.
  • New this year, a Livestock Skill-a-thon contest has been added, allowing for one 4-H team and one FFA team from every state to participate.
  • There will be a dance held on Thursday night, January 8, 2026.
  • A Career Fair & Pin Swap has been added to the schedule on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

All registration information can be found at: https://co4h.colostate.edu/national-western-roundup/  The registration deadline is December 1, 2025.

For further questions, reach out to our team – we would love to see your state represented in FFA at Western National Roundup in Denver: westernnati...@gmail.com or (970) 491-1152

This is the inaugural for the new building at the National Western Stock Show – so round out your experience by being part of their opening weekend with the gate admission that you will receive as part of your Western National Roundup registration.

Love to see you in Denver, Colorado in 2026!!!
