County Extension Agents and Agricultural Science Teachers,

With the spring stock show season upon us, we have had an increased number of questions regarding Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) regulations. The questions have primarily centered around purchasing/transporting livestock across state lines and compliance with Certificates of Health Inspection (CVI) for livestock shows. To bring you the latest information, we had a chance to have a discussion with Dr. Angela Lackie, Assistant Executive Director of Animal Health Programs, with TAHC (link to webinar below). Additionally, we worked with TAHC to create straightforward and concise fact sheets (also found at the link below). Our hope is that these resources will help you guide the families you serve through a successful stock show season. If you have specific questions regarding the regulations, please contact the TAHC – contact information is provided in the fliers.
