Good afternoon, Agriculture Educators and Area Coordinators,

My name is Nolan Talkington, and I am the volunteer camp coordinator for "Wildlife Conservation Camp" 2026. Wildlife Conservation Camp is a camp that is presented by the Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society and is hosted every year and rotates locations throughout the state. This particular camp is open to youth coming into ninth grade through departing seniors. Topics covered at camp include many components of FFA CDE's including range plants and seeds, soils, big game, birds, fish, insects, weather, geography, reptiles and amphibians, hunting safety and ethics, youth leadership, public speaking and more. Additionally, there is a staff of between 30 and 40 Conservation professionals and college students that volunteer their time every year at camp to mentor youth campers throughout the week, often leading to great networking opportunities and college mentorships. This year's camp will be July 20th through July 24th at the Three Rivers Ranch (owned by Texas Tech) in-between Crowell and Paducah, TX. Camp cost is $350 for the week and it is an overnight camp. I would love to host your students at the Upcoming camp. I realize it is a way off but wanted to get the word out to you ASAP. If I could please have y'all's help disseminating this information to students and other agricultural teachers across the state of Texas, that would be fantastic. I have attached a flyer for this year's camp if you would like to use it as you see fit across social media, schools and classrooms. Students need to be "sponsored" by an adult to attend camp. Agriculture teachers are encouraged to "sponsor" students and many have in the past. This is not a financial obligation, but rather a statement by an adult that the prospective student would be a good candidate to attend camp.  Students wishing to attend also need to fill out the following "New Camper Application" found here:

Additional information on past camps and the Texas Chapter of the Wildlife Society can be found here: https://wildlifecamptx.org

Please reach out if you have any questions, comments or concerns in the meantime.

I look forward to hopefully hosting some of your students!

Thank you for your time,

Nolan Talkington
