Subject: [psnt] Video Series on the
ABLE Act
The ABLE Act is a new tool to assist persons with disabilities to have a better quality of life. I have created a playlist on the ABLE Act at this link https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5dEwlCC642pAR-KnAMN19Pa-Jda56Npk
I am currently adding a series of short videos on a number of subjects dealing with the ABLE Act including the following.
The ABLE Act and the Medicaid Lien at https://youtu.be/Gd3UokkWJiQ
This video reviews the Medicaid Payback which is a lien on an ABLE Account when the ABLE beneficiary passes away, what are typical Medicaid services that are subject to the lien, and how to minimize the chance of a lien.
The ABLE Act with a Focus on Housing at https://youtu.be/EiolWEFAZ7s
This Video focuses on how the ABLE Act can be used to provide an ABLE beneficiary with housing. It also provides a couple of case studies to show how to tie an ABLE Account to a special needs trust to get the best of both worlds, sustainable housing while reducing the chances of a lien when the ABLE beneficiary passes away.
ABLE Accounts Are Available Now
A question I get almost daily is when will ABLE Accounts be available. ABLE Accounts are available to all through programs in Ohio, Nebraska and Tennessee. Last month we did a video that included Julianna Crist from the STABLE Program in Ohio. This is a link to the webinar queued up at an overview of the Ohio program. https://youtu.be/nXiNxdiwaTM?t=41m21s
How to Subscribe to Future Videos
In the next few weeks will be more videos on subjects such as the ABLE Act and Capacity, The ABLE Act and Taxes, and the ABLE Act and Employment. To subscribe go to https://www.youtube.com/c/achievingindependence?sub_confirmation=1
