Hello guys,

Want to build a Pebble prototype? Would you like Thomas and I to buy
the parts for you? Then you MUST have your order in by 12 MIDNIGHT
TONIGHT. Six hours left!

In particular, Jon, Trent and Michael Borthwick, you've indicated
you're interested, and Hugh B, you may well be.

One set of parts is about A$30. What's not included: PCB, XBee,
Arduino and mini-breadboard.

That URL again is:

http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AsTwCG-wTDDBdDAtLTFHcWFFZGk5bTF0d082S2pTUFE&hl=en

(If you don't have edit access and want it, please SMS me your email
address on 0411 532 516 fast)

In other news, I successfully made a double-sided Pebble board today.
Thanks for the help of the others who helped me!

Mitch.

Rather than harass you for access.. If you can just add me 2x for
everything except the LCDs i'll take 1 of each.

Also I noticed there seems to be no price on the switches.

Awesome.. I'll have to crack out my PCB etching skillz.. did you use
UV or?

Yeah, we used a pretty standard photolithography process, with Kinsten
pre-coated positive board.

Just out of curiosity, how else would you have proposed to make a
double-sided PCB? With toner transfer? Good luck getting both layers
registered when doing that!

Luke,
Don't see why toner transfer wouldn't work.. but yeah I'll be using UV
also.

Thanks,
Trent

Hi Trent,

I used UV and pre-sensitized board for the first time today, but
previously I've been a toner transfer guy.

With toner transfer, I've always found it hard to get the carrier
paper to register properly on the board, even single sided! I've also
had problems with the carrier paper sliding, or creating smeared
symbols. And to me, in terms of repeatability, I think using an iron
to do the transfer is very hit and miss. I've lost track of the
boards I've scrubbed off and started again because of the transfer
process.

I think trying to get registration between two sides with toner
transfer would be very difficult. But if you have a good idea for how
to do it, PLEASE let me (us) know!

Mitch.
