Hi All,
I just wanted to share some early news with this group. We've been heads-down on a new product (launching on kickstarter next month) that should be a good complement to the Arduino Insteon Shield.
It's a rechargeable wifi device that lets you easily build custom communications networks for your arduinos, sensors, and websites. You plug your arduino into USB (which supplies power to the arduino), and use a web interface to define your network and endpoints. Then your arduino's data gets automatically transmitted or received in real time over an encrypted VPN. You can see what the device looks like here:
We hope this will be particularly useful for users of the home automation shield that want to easily connect their home systems (or custom sensors) via the Internet.
The very first (early prototype) versions will be completed next week. We are keen to test these prior to launching our kickstarter. Would anyone on the list be open to giving one of these a whirl in exchange for providing feedback to us or creating a cool demo?
Please let me know, we should soon have a small number of early prototypes that we can ship off to people.
Alan
