New issue 743 by
dust...@gmail.com: specimen summary link to specimens is
broken
https://code.google.com/p/arctos/issues/detail?id=743
From UAM Insects:
When I summarize specimen results by sci name and click on the link to see
specimens of
Liogluta n. sp.
I am also provided all specimens of:
Liogluta n. sp. near trapezicollis
because Arctos is searching on the name string itself, which obviously
matches both identifications. If I only want the first set not mixed with
the second set I cannot get that from the links of those results.
This is a problem - wouldn't it be better if every unique ID had a unique
code and the code was used to search for the specimens (behind the scenes,
unknown to the users) so that the above and similar problems wouldn't
occur? Or some other way to ensure an 'exact' match is made?
