Sam,

I keep reading about a plan to get back to 280 ppm (or 350.org's attempts to get us back down to 350 ppm), but there is good evidence that this is not possible by any feebate scheme or economic wrench yet discussed.  Recent publications suggest the levels of CO2 in the atmosphere will be at least this high for 1000 years or so.  Please see Solomon, et.al., PNAS, 2009 (abstract here:  http://www.pnas.org/content/early/2009/01/28/0812721106.abstract), and tell us how you think we are going to get there?

While it may be possible to sequester carbon already released, I just don't see how economic controls on carbon output will matter at all, and I think we would like to read about how that would work.
