Thank you for your work, Sam.  It would be good to make the correction that Fred Pollack points out.  The blog is one of the most important tools of education available for those of us out here trying to wake up our families and friends.  Any overstatement is seized upon by deniers as proof that everything is an overstatement.

Thanks Annette, 

Yes, NOAA issued an El Niño Watch, I have amended the post accordingly and also added a link to a study that found a 75% likelyhood of an El Niño event in late 2014. I have also added an update for sea extent, showing a record low sea ice extent on March 11, 2014, for the time of the year.
