How to Subtract: Removing Greenhouse Gas from the Atmosphere, a talk by Metta Spencer — at 12.30 PM ET, Monday, 6 February
2022. How to Subtract is sponsored by McLaughlin College (York University) as part of their Lunch Time Talk Series.
Synopsis:
Even if we could stop all carbon emissions today, the global temperature would continue rising. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has stated that it will also be necessary to
remove carbon that has already been emitted. Fortunately, there are many ways to do so, though few of them have been tested adequately to scale up immediately. This talk will describe some of the most promising options.
