Dear all,

I am an experiencing an error during the step at which ArcSWAT is supposed to delineate the stream network (i.e. 'create streams and outlets').

Specifically I receive the following two errors:

Error Number: -2147467259
Error Message: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.
Module name: mSWOutlet
Function name: create
Procedure(error line or description): 2

Error Number: 91
Error Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
Module name: Watershed delineation
Function name: streamDef
Procedure(error line or description): 2

I understand that these errors have been associated with Permissions problems but I have followed the directions given in the link below exactly but the problem still occurs.

I have also tried to build a model with various versions of ArcSWAT to see if that was an issue but the problem appears to be universal to them.

I just wondered if there were any developers or other people who might have an idea or opinion on what is causing this problem?

Thank you for your help.

Sam

As an update, I've uninstalled an re-installed ArcGIS 10.0 to make sure that this wasn't the cause of the problem and I've updated to Service Pack 5 but still the problem persists.

I know that I can use the SWAT executable outside of ArcSWAT to run models that I have already build but is there an alternative way to build new input tables if I wanted to set-up a new model outside of ArcSWAT?

Thanks again,

Sam

Just responding to a bit of advice that I've received but which does not appear here.

I've made sure that under the security tab 'Authenticated Users' and 'Users' are all given 'Full Control' of the project folder and the Swat folder which contains ArcSWAT but that has not solved the problem either (what ever that problem may be!)

Thanks for your suggestions,

Sam

Just for future reference and advice to others who may encounter the same problem that I did.

I experienced the above errors because when I uninstalled ArcGIS not all of the components of the program were removed (an ArcGIS folder remained in my 'Documents' folder and in the 'Program Files (x86)' folder). The solution that I found was to uninstall ArcGIS again and to manually delete these two folders. After this I re-installed ArcGIS and ArcSWAT and I haven't experienced this error since.

Regards,

Sam
