Hi All,

I am using the Beta 10 version of ArcSWAT. It was working for the watershed delineation, but then I had some geometry issues, so I went back and carefully specified my projected coordinate system and started again. Now I am getting the following errors after click the Stream network Create streams and outlets button.

Error Number: -2147467259

Error Message: Error HRESULT E_FAIL has been returned from a call to a COM component.

Modele name: mSWOutlet

Function name: create

Procedure(error line or description): 2

Error Number: 91

Error Message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Model name: Watershed delineation

Function name: streamDef

Procedure(error line or description): 2

Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Thanks!

I am encountering similar issues (also using the beta 10 version).  The error pops up when I try to burn in my stream network, and the module is mSWFlow rather than mSWOutlet, but otherwise the error is the same.  Did you find a fix or a solution to resolve the error?
Thanks!

One of the support folks from Texas said it might be a permission issue, so you can check that. To do that, right click on your project folder, then pick properties, then security. See if you have full control of your folder.
That did not work for me.

Another thought was that I had double clicked the watershed delineation (which I have done many times). So I exited out of everything and pressed control alt delete and looked for any Processes that were related to ArcMap and clicked "End Process". This did sometimes stop odd errors.

But, I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling SWAT. And, I got an odd message when I reinstalled SWAT, but it installed successfully. Then, I selected to Repair SWAT and I did not get the odd error, and the error message has not reoccurred since then.

I also uninstalled ArcGIS and reinstalled it, but I don't think that played a role in getting rid of the error, but I am not certain. Sorry I can not be more specific, but I was not able to pinpoint the cause or the fix.

Hi, I'm having the exact same problem. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling ArcSWAT, as suggested, but I still get the message. I have also checked my folder permissions and this is also not a problem. I'm just starting to use SWAT (and obviously I'm not getting very far!), so any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to run the Example1 that came with the installation package.

Thanks,
Stephanie

It may be a permission issue with project folder. Make sure the project folder is full control for all users of the computer.

Hope this will assist you.

Just an additional bit of information, I'm using 2009.10.1 and have SUCCESSFULLY run SWAT several times using the interface. I then switched from a 30m DEM to a 3m and began getting this error, which leads me to believe that this is not a permissions issue.

Dear SWAT users

I am seeing fire with this error, its siting on stage number two of the SWAT modelling and I cant move.  It seems that the error has been around for sometime, I am wondering why it hasn't been sorted up to now.  How do I solve this problem, I am stuck.

I use Windows 8 and SWAT 2009 and ArcGIS 10.0 student edition.

Please kindly help, ANYONE :)

Many thanks for all the help

Hi,
we were having the same problem and used the following work-around:
Save your project, close ArcGIS. Make sure your date-time is set to US (english).
Now open your project by double clicking the ARCmap project file in your directory, rather than opening ArcGIS and going through file/open
This worked for us

You have to change the date format in your computer to US format (mm/dd/yyyy)

Hi all

I am facing a problem when watershed delineation seems to be working forever (picture attached) after I got rid of the error following Willem's suggestion. It proceeds upto 28% and then keeps on running.

I am using ArcMap 10.2.2 and ArcSWAT 2012. 10.2.16.  Any ideas on how this error could be avoided?

Thanks

I also encountered the same error when I tried to burn the stream file and tried to create the stream network.

I tried almost of the recommendations (except for reinstalling programs) of all users except that it still didn't work.

This solution should might work well especially to Asian users, since we have different language settings. Okay, so here's what I did.

1. Go to Control Panel > Region and Language.
2. Format Tab > Format : English (US), Short date : MM/dd/yy
3. Location Tab > Current Location : US
4. Keyboards and Languages Tab > Choose a display language : English
5. Administrative Tab > Current language for non-Unicode programs : English (US)

I hope this solution can help other users too!

In Arcmap, click on on Geoprocessing in the tool bar. Then click on Environment to open Environment setting. Select Parallel Processing from drop down list,. In parallel processing set 0 click ok. Again try Create streams and outlets, it may work.

This error occurs because you do not have administrator permission. Even if your user is an administrator, the program sometimes does not recognize it. You have to enable the administrator user and do it from this user (you can search in google, it's easy).
I have modeled with ArcSwat with my user without problems and when I model again the next day with the same data, I get the error. After several days of trying things, the solution was to remove the Windows 10 administrator user. It is also convenient to put the keyboard and the format in US English.
