Error in HRU definition

I've been getting problems during the HRU overlay after loading the land-use and soils layer. The specific text in the error is:

Description

the field is too small to accept the amount of data you are trying to add. try inserting or pasting less data

Can someone please help me to establish the causes and correct this error?
