Dear All,

When I run SWAT2009 I get the following error:

forrtl: error (65): floating invalid
Image PC Routine Line Source
swat2009.exe 0063B028 SOIL_PHYS 184
soil_phys.f
swat2009.exe 00567571 READINPT 51 readinpt.f
swat2009.exe 004F6B5A MAIN 86 main.f
swat2009.exe 00743789 Unknown Unknown Unknown
swat2009.exe 00727D59 Unknown Unknown Unknown
kernel32.dll 7C817077 Unknown Unknown Unknown

I have read from a previous forum that this is because missing soil
data.I also guess it might be because I have floating data instead of
another type. However, for a few hours I have been checking my
usersoil table, but I can not find the problem. Could anyone please
help me??

Gloria - Please send your current txtinout (.zip file) and I will locate
the problem. It appears that the error is in a soil property.
Thanks,
Nancy

Hello all,

I am seeing a similar error (please see attached jpg).  I have also checked my soil file and it looks like I should have adequate coverage.  I have a 64 bit machine and get two slightly different error messages when I choose 64 bit debug and 64 bit release (jpg 2).

many thanks

David

I think I sorted out this one problem... am now on to a number of others.  On this one I had just forgotten to rewrite the SWAT input tables after I had made some changes to the point discharges.  I am now struggling with the next error which is that for some reason the SWAT run crashes due to something with my first input discharge table.

hope this works

David

Dear all, in general this error is related to input data (in ArcSWAT) or parameters (in SWAT-CUP).  This error is very common, to resolve it:
If you're facing this error in ArcSWAT, check your input data and in SWAT-CUP, check your input parameters (in particular, range of parameters).
Second solution is to use Fortran Debugger if you are fluent in programming.

hope this can helps

Regards,
Iman

Dear David and Salas,

Thanks for your responses.

I have checked my input data thoroughly and I still can't find what the problem is. I am looking at the fortran code and if I solve it, I will get back.

Hi David,

I got similar error that in your (RunSwat.jpg). See my recent post at forrtl: error (65). I've checked my input files, and everything seemed okay, and also re-wrote those. But, the error still came out. Do you have any idea what I could do to solve my issue?

Thanks,

It's been awhile but as I recall the error was my sol file.  If  you open  that up and sort on the soil number, then look at the soil depths.  I had soil depths that were not in the correct order.  For  example, I found several instances where the depth at say horizon 5 was  less than horizon 4.  It helps to "hide" all the other columns (click at the top of the column and chose hide" except for the soil depths.  It makes it easier to see where there are problems.  You  will then have to change those values so that they are in an order of increasing depth. Save and  then rewrite your soil tables.

good  luck

David

Hi, have you tried to change the language system?

2 years ago me and another users had the same problem, and it was solved just changing the language system. In my case Portuguese to English (American).

See you,
Jorge

Thanks all for your suggestions. I tried them, but still got the errors messages... Then, I re-did the entire project from scratch, but with some changes this time: I re-installed ArcGIS, and the latest version of ArcSWAT. To set the new project, I used the SWAT STATSGO, and also saved, closed and re-opened the project after each main step (e.g. Watershed Delineation). I labeled the containing folder as short as possible, and stored it at the second level i.e. C:\SWATProjects\NewProject. Finally, the project is now running successfully. So, I already saved its back-up :). Now, let's see what would happen if I used my own ssurgo soil db, or any other change...

Regards,
Juan

Hola a todos,

Quería saber si pudieron corregir estos errores de SWAT. Al igual que Mister David me sale la pantalla negra con el error de "forrtl: error <65>: floating invalid"

Quisiera saber como lo han solucionado.

Muchas gracias.

I keep getting that error message "Error 65, Floating Invalid" when I try to RunSWAT on Arcswat. I have been stuck for days. And I need to make my presentation in a few days time. From the things I read online, it is a soil database error. I tried to fix it with optimising the Soil Depth Max Sol_ZMX values to match with the last layer of sol_z2. Doesn't still work. It's tiring. And frustrating.
