Hi all

If we extract FullHRU layer as a shape file count of polygons will be more than count of HRUs!! and If we use hru1.shp in watershed folder, count of polygons will be less than count of HRUs!!
another problem is there are many island polygons in extracted shape files. so the problem is:
How to extract shape file of HRUs created by SWAT so that each polygon refer to a HRU?

best regards

I haven't done it myself before. The HRU_GIS field in the HRUs table might be useful. See if this field can be joined or related to the field in the FullHRU layer or hru1.shp!

By definition, a HRU may be located at multiple polygons in a subbasin if they shared the same land use/soil/slope properties.
So in order to have one-to-one mapping, you need to re-define the HRU.

As Chang mentioned, HRU x can consist of multiple polygons and they can be located in different locations, but all within one particular subbasin.
Therefore, any output data (e.g., ET) for HRU x is the spatial average for all those polygons named as HRU x.

The HRU1 in the watershed folder is the correct shapefile that contains all the HRUs created by ArcSWAT. Similarly, your output.hru file should correspond to all the HRUs existent in that shapefile.

Sincerely,
Adnan Rajib

Hello everyone,

In the SWAT model that I am using, the HRU analysis is done already, but the "hur1.shp" does not exist!
Can anybody help me about how can I get the HRUs shapefile with zero threshold?
I tried to manually combine soil, slope and landuse, but the number of HRUs will not be the same as the number of HRUs in the "output.hru".

Thanks in advance
Rezvane

Hi do you find a solution? I can not generate fullHRU file du to large watershed! If you know how to manually produce hrufile, could you please tell me?

Hi Xiao Zhang,

I asked the same question several months ago in another conversation, and someone answered.

Here is the conversation that I mentioned above: https://groups.google.com/g/arcswat/c/GYCjf4yg4fI/m/T0_eWpvMBAAJ

But it seems like the comments including the answers are deleted. However, I have saved the video at that time, and here is its youtube link: https://youtu.be/0rLErz9bIEc

Hope it helps.
