Hello SWAT users,

I am attempting to 'write SWAT input tables' I have input all the appropriate files to lead to this dialog box; however, when I select 'write SWAT input table' all the tables say incomplete. What does this mean, am I missing data?

Secondly, I keep getting an error ‘conversion from string “12/31/3000” to type ‘Date’ is not valid’. How do I fix this problem and what does it mean?

Thank You

It seems like your date format might have some issues. This could be related to some of your weather observations. I'm not sure how far into the future you're running the model, but your image shows that somewhere in your tables you have the year 3000. Find out where you have dates and start there.

Hi Michael,

Thank you for replying, I have looked over my weather data and I do not have the date anywhere in my files. I am modelling the year 2030 so I am not sure where 3000 is even from. Do you have any idea where I can look for this date?

Are you using climate data inputs from monitoring stations? Maybe you could look through those to identify any errors.

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to let anyone who isn't clear yet about the solution know that all you have to do is change your computer's date format to United States m/d/y in your control panel. That should do it.

Regards,
George.

Hello,

I have the same error and have already checked my data and changed the date format, too. But the error is still there. Any other ideas to solve this problem??

Thanks for help.

Did you change the regional settings of your computer or only the data format? I was recommended to switch to the US system and that helped to avoid some of these error issues. (really annoying for other uses of the computer though)

Hi friends,
I am also having the same problem.
The weather station data (rainfall gauges) has the start date yyyymmdd  in first line. Whether that format also should be changed?
but i changed the system date is in mmddyyyy format only

Hello.

I found this error but after changing some computer settings (date format, time, unicode programs and keyboard) the error has not arisen anymore.

You will need to edit the ‘ciorng’ table in your swat2012 master database file and extend the dates from 2200 to 3000;
