Hi all,

I am trying to backup an D2D R16 image to a tape drive - just in order
to have a second copy in case of a disaster.

However, I cannot get that process to run: I am always getting an
error similar to this one in ARCserve R16:

AW0004 2011-12-26 16:20:27 <D2D Target Machine> Failed to open file <\
\nas\VSTORE\S0000001453\AdrConfigure.xml>. RC=1314, A required
privilege is not held by the client.

What privilege is mentioned here? I was using the Windows
administrator account which has full access to both, the D2D machine
as well as to the NAS drive..

Thanks for any hints.

Kind regards
Matthias

Hi Matthias,

Please confirm:

1) You have installed CA ARCserve Backup Client Agent for Windows
R16.0 and ARCserve D2D R16.0 on the same server
2) You added CA Arcserve D2D server under ARCserve D2D servers object
in the ARCserve Backup Manager and selected the node from there,
please refer to the document:-

Thank you very much for your answer.
Although I followed all steps from the user guides, I cannot get this
to work.
Let me include the log files from ARCserve Backup:

Would you have an other idea? What I do not understand: the username I
am using has the highest rights..

Thank you.

Kind regards

Hi all,

Coming back to this issue. Backup to a Tape Drive via Arc Serve 16.5 is still not possible - even if some updates for D2D and R16.5 have been released in the meantime.

Any idea how this problem can be addressed? Is anybody else using the D2D agent in Arc Serve R16.5?

Thank you.

Regards,
Matthias
