Is it possible to install updates silently via the windows command
shell or batch script. When I do something like "setup.exe /s" the
update application launches like normal requiring user prompts.

Hi,

Maybe you can install updates with the tool "PsExec", look this link: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897553

Regards.

Anybody found a solution for this? the /s switch seems to "almost" work in that it doesn't show all the screens, but it still goes to the EULA screen

To install base D2D, you can use the command line that is mentioned at
https://support.ca.com/cadocs/0/CA%20ARCserve%20D2D%20r16-ENU/Bookshelf_Files/HTML/usergde/cad2d_silent_install.htm

To install update silently try following

xxx.exe /s /v"/s /NoAllSessionRebootPopup /AutoReboot"

This will silent install with auto reboot if required. note that there
will be no additional notification before reboot. The reboot will
automatically happen after upgrade.
