Hi all,

We use a NAS to store the D2D R16 backups of a number of servers.
After the available amount of storage became smaller and smaller, I
did some investigation.

During this I have found out that D2D created an invisible folder
under the default backup location called “.Recycle”.

As this folder equals to roughly 50% of the NAS total capacity: does
anybody know if the folder can be deleted or cleaned-up?

Thank you.

Best, Matthias

Hi axeon,

As far as I know D2D won't create such invisible folders. What type of NAS you are using? Can you please post a  screenshot of this kind of folder (with its subordinates) here?

Thanks,
Andy

Hi Andy,

Thanks. It seems that you are right: although the folder has been
created by D2D, it can be deleted. I first renamed the folder and
verified, if all previous backup files are still available. This was
the case. Secondly I did delete the folder - no issue as well..

Best,
Matthias

Folder will be created by the NAS. Turn off recycle bin on the nas.
