Howdy all,
I am hosting a workshop here in Houston in less than two weeks on Sep 25th at the Caroline Collective.
I'll be teaching people how to build an EEG and then integrate it into an art piece for a later Art Show(Oct, 22).
If this is something that interests you, I'd invite you(and your friends) to attend.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The brain is simultaneously the most interesting and least understood piece of the human body. We’d like to spark interest and help people see the science of the brain, from a different angle. A more artistic, user friendly angle.

We are holding a workshop on September 25th, to teach people(both artistic and/or tech oriented) to build and use a brain wave reading machine known as an Electroencephalagraph(EEG). At the end of the workshop, once the participants have a deeper understanding of how an EEG and the brain work. The participants will have 2 weeks to tie their EEG machines, however they’d like to, into a work of art.  The resulting pieces will then be displayed at the C2 Creative art gallery in downtown Houston,TX. To hopefully inspire people into thinking about the science of the brain and how abstract things like thoughts relate to physical interactions in your brain.

If you are interested in attending the workshop, Please register at eventbrite as soon as possible.(Space is limited to 10 teams)

Also, to subsidize the costs and open up the workshop to those who can't afford the supply costs, we are holding a kickstarter campaign with some pretty awesome prizes.
