Hi All,

the temperature sensor cable in my Arcol hotend v3 (I think it's V3, the one
with the fire cement) broke during a print tonight.
The Problem is that the wire broke within the fire cement, see:

Has anyone an idea how I could fix that?

Thanks,
 Alessio

PS: up until this I was really happy with the hotend, works like a charm

Hi,

Its v4.0.1 - v4.1.1, with the firecement version, for thermistor info
look up here:
http://wiki.arcol.hu/product:thermistor-100k

The v4.2 uses honeywell thermistor, look up here:
http://wiki.arcol.hu/product:thermistor-100khw

You have two possibilities:
1. you order the thermistor on the website, and put in the remark
(last step) you also want firecement.
http://shop.arcol.hu/item/thermistor-100k

2. Or you upgrade to v4.2, which means new (different) heaterblock,
resistor, thermistor. And no more firecement.
In that case, order anything on the website, and put on the remark
(last step) that you want this option, I'm sure we agree on some good
price.

And the thrid possibility is you try to rescue with RTV glue (used on
car pipes). But there is a high chance you destroy the thermistor
anyway. So I don't advise this, but some people already did it
successfully. Needs time and dedication:)

Best,
Laszlo
