Hello,

Thanks for all of the recent updates!

Here is one that I have been forgetting to mention.  Thunderbird produces this error when started:

[fred@cats ~]$thunderbird
/usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/thunderbird/libxul.so: undefined symbol: _restgpr_28_x

It happened with the last upgrade of firefox.

Thanks & Take Care,

Fred

I'm thinking about removing of thunderbird & firefox, because they
doesn't support powerpc anymore and I have not much time to patch their
stupid and buggy code.

For now, get the previous thunderbird and install it, and by ready to
switch to another program :)

Thanks.  Since Kmail is also broken right now, I may try to compile both thunderbird and firefox myself.  I do it routinely on my x86 boxes (version 9.0.1).  Anyway, is google chrome available for Arch ppc?

Take Care,

Fred

I recompiled thunderbird, is in testing.

Kmail is broken? I missed it... just wait to the 24 January, I'll
recompile all KDE to 4.8.0

Just updated thunderbird and get this error:

[fred@cats ~]$ thunderbird

/usr/lib/thunderbird/thunderbird-bin: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/thunderbird/libxul.so: undefined symbol: _restgpr_28_x

Thanks for re-compiling so quickly.  I'll let you look at this as I make sure I haven't clobbered anything on my end.

Take Care,

Fred

It's fixed for me.. it's startup without problems. Do you have synced
with testing packages?
