Hello,

I get the following error when cups loads or I need to use gs:

gs: error while loading shared libraries: libssp.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The same happens when I try to load cupsd at startup.  I have tried to rebuild avahi and then gs and cups but get the following error when trying to build avahi (see attached file).

Sorry for the long post.  I've been trying to resolve this myself for a while but don't seem to be getting anywhere.

Thanks,

Fred

Hi, I've fixed all these things, but I'm in a middle of GNOME upgrade.
If you absolutely need it, please tell me something, I'll share with
you the (BIG UNSTABLE) updated package before the deadline which I
have (next week) for releasing GNOME 3.2.

Thanks.  I would at the very least want to get a current PKGBUILD and associated patches/files for avahi so that I can rebuild it and then cups and ghostscript.  I really need cups and ghostscript working as my iBook G4 is really my only computer right now and I am writing some things that I would like to get finished (print, etc).  If you will release the new packages this week, I can wait, otherwise I can rebuild the packages (cups, ghostscript, whatever) as I do it frequently for what I need (almost daily sometimes).  Also Libreoffice is broken but you probably know that.

How do I pull from svn for code.  I can browse via websvn but haven't been able to find a link for actually getting a fresh copy of things that I want/need.  I use abs but it seems to mainly be for intel platform and needs  much "adjusting" most of the time.

Take Care & Thanks again!

Fred

So, here are your packages:

danimoth.archlinuxppc.org/temp

I'm not sure you'll have other problems.. because you can.
To recompile things yourself, do this chain:
gtk2 avahi cups poppler cups avahi

Please remember to re-install from pacman when I'll put all things on
testing (I'll mail here).

And, for all the lurker: to avoid these situation, please, use the
TESTING repo and mail (here or in the bugtracker) if you have
problems, we will take care of these more quickly when packages are in
testing.

Thanks
