It seems to me like this project is dead.. Does anyone else still take interest in this?

I am trying to install arch on a powerbook g4. I got it onto the harddisk but from there I had a can't find root partition issue in which I fixed by adding the sungem module to the mkinitcpio but still the boot process dies after trying to load udev uevents.

If I can get someone to reply to this I will actually post more useful information on the problem, but without any kind of hope for reply I am not going to go boot up the mac and fight it just to get info

Well, I'd like to help but I haven't dealt with powerpc for some time now (and never on powerbooks).
Anyway it reminds me of some /etc/yaboot.conf misconfiguration problems. Could it be that?

What is the last lines you see?
when you say it "dies", does it display an error?

Not yaboot if he's getting as far as udev.

Unfortunately my linux powerbook is currently running MintPPC. I
might try to look at this. Which model powerbook is it and what are
your actual messages (last few lines should be enough)?

Any progress?

at least, you successfully installed ArchPPC and the issue happened at your first reboot.
Can you provide a grab of your screen ?
