Hello,

it's been a while. But beassured I am still using very frequently Grass an Qgis on both my Arch boxes.
In the AUR we've already qgis 1.8.0-5 while the repos are still with 1.8.0-4, So logically I get after every pacman -Syu the following message:

" archlinuxgis is up to date
:: Starting full system upgrade...
warning: qgis: local (1.8.0-5) is newer than archlinuxgis (1.8.0-4)"

Thanks for your continuing efforts.

Thank you very much, I need some feedbacks to keep the repo alive :)

Starting from today, there's should be a version 1.8.0-5 for both architectures on the repo.
The problem is due to the fact that qgis PKGBUILD from [archlinuxgis] is on a different infrastructure than the AUR one, so I need to update manually whenever a new version comes out, then recompile packages for both architectures.

I hope to solve the problem in the future (not so near, really) by migrating back my server to Archlinux. Unfortunately I'm quite busy at the moment so I don't think this would happen soon.

You can contribute to PKGBUILD modifications by communicating (here) your github username, so I can add anyone to the developer group. Repo for [archlinuxgis] is https://github.com/ArchLinuxGIS/archlinuxgis.

Thanks, regards,
