to Archives and Linked Data Interest Group

Hi all—

I’m going to propose we cancel our usual meeting next week and instead spend some time working through two proposals that have come our way.

The first comes to us from Cory Nimer (and is super exciting!):

Recently the ArchivesSpace Development Prioritization Team requested a specification for ANW-355, an enhancement request to add URIs to the controlled value list tables (https://archivesspace.atlassian.net/browse/ANW-355). Due to your work with the Archives and Linked Data group, I wondered if you might take a quick look to see if there is anything that is missing. In writing this up, there were also a few questions that came up, which I have included as comments in the document. The document is available at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1plu1M-hBT9Q0YfKwwi7i8KhU-iLqhE_G8PpMeaVy1Uo/edit?usp=sharing. Any suggestions that you could provide to clean up the document would be appreciated. Once the document has been reviewed, I will send it out to the ArchivesSpace listserv for public comment.

Please make comments directly in Cory’s document.  Both Mark and I have already contributed comments.  If there are any issues that pop up that you think would merit more discussion, please let me know.

I will also have the Archives use cases for the Art and Rare Materials Bibframe extension working group done on Monday and will send out to this group for review.

Thanks all!

Elizabeth
