Unable to Add or Start Transfer – Files Showing as Struck-Through in Transfer Browser

Hello Archivematica community,

I am facing an issue with my Archivematica installation and would appreciate your guidance.

I have followed the official installation documentation, and the system is running. However, I am unable to add files to a new transfer in the Dashboard. When I open the “Browse” dialog, the folders and files inside /var/archivematica/storage/incoming/ appear greyed out or struck-through, and the Add and Start transfer buttons remain disabled.

It seems Archivematica can see the directory, but it is not allowing me to select or use it as a valid transfer source.

So far I have:

• Installed Archivematica and Storage Service according to the official guide

• Confirmed that files exist inside /var/archivematica/storage/incoming/

• Restarted services and verified permissions

Is there a configuration step that I may have missed for enabling this folder as an approved Transfer Source in the Storage Service?

Any advice or instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Sonam,

It's a little hard to tell from a screenshot, but it looks that everything is at it should be- Archivematica cannot accept individual files as transfers, the content must be in folders- are you able to select the folder (IIT_ACT) and start that as a transfer?
