iPRES 2026 - April Update
Preparations for iPRES 2026 continue at full pace, and we are excited to share a few key updates as the conference programme and activities take shape.
Registration
Early Bird registration for iPRES 2026 will open on 28 April 2026. We encourage you to plan ahead and take advantage of the Early Bird rate.

Workshops and tutorials
You can already sign up for the Monday only program, while the full content will be released at a later time. We will share more details, including how to sign up for specific workshops and/or tutorials, in the coming months.
Digital Preservation Bake Off
The iPRES 2026 Great Digital Preservation Bake Off Tool Demonstration is a live, interactive showcase where developers and practitioners present their digital preservation solutions, with a sprinkle of baking puns.
The submission form will be available from 1 May 2026, and must be completed by 8 June 2026.
Last year’s Bake Off featured 17 diverse tools, all delivered in a competitive yet collaborative environment. These demonstrations offer attendees a taste of the latest ideas, and give our community’s biggest whisk-takers their time to shine. Have a new ingredient? Submit it to the Pantry using this form before 4 September.
Questions? Join us for our Open Kitchen Hours 22 May on Zoom. The organising committee will be available to answer your questions, with two sessions scheduled to accommodate different time zones. Full details are available on the iPRES2026 webpage.
Ad Hoc Contributions
Have an idea that doesn’t fit a traditional format? The Ad Hoc programme at iPRES 2026 is designed for informal, creative, and community-driven contributions.
From Lightning Talks and Birds of a Feather sessions to games and other experimental formats, Ad Hoc sessions offer a flexible and low-barrier way to share ideas, spark discussions, and connect with others.
Submissions open 1 May 2026 and close 8 June 2026.
