Hi,
I'm wondering if it's possible to manually preserve for preservation files only. I recently tried to do that, but the results included two submission documentation folders, and an empty access folder. Wondering if the issue might be related to not having access formats? I started out with the following folder structure:

Top-level folder
  • objects
    • manualNormalization
      • preservation
  • submissionDocumentation
At the Review normalization stage, the structure I'm seeing is:

Top level folder:
  • logs
  • metadata
    • submissionDocumentation
  • objects
    • manualNormalization
      • access
      • preservation
    • submissionDocumentation
  • thumbnails
Any ideas as to why I'm getting two submissionDocumentation folders, and whether the empty access folder is something I can get rid of?

Hi Natalie,

I think what you're seeing during Approve Normalization is just an artefact of the workflow. Once you have completed the process and made an AIP the extra directories should be removed. Can you give that a try?

Cheers,

Hi Sarah,

Yes, that did clear it all up. Thanks!
