Hi,

I seem to be having a similar problem with the transfer button that is described in posts https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/archivematica/HKKWEfMR1cg/discussion and https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/archivematica/Qm9tDxP27bM , where nothing happens when I click on the transfer button in the dashboard.

I get the following error:

POST XHR http://localhost/filesystem/ransfer/   [HTTP/1.1 500 INTERNAL SERVER ERROR]

And in the debug log on the storage service, I get the error:

DEBUG     2015-08-25 21:35:39  locations.models.space:space:browse:190:  Falling back to default browse local
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "./locations/models/space.py", line 188, in browse
    return self.get_child_space().browse(path, *args, **kwargs)
AttributeError: 'LocalFilesystem' object has no attribute 'browse'

I'm using Ubuntu 14.04, Archivematica 1.4.0  and have the same problem using either Firefox or Chrome.  I've tried changing user permissions, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Katie,

Thank you for reporting this bug. I realize that we didn't post our results to the user forum, but when Steven posted the same issue, we did do some testing and investigation here at Artefactual, but unfortunately we haven't been able to reproduce the problem. We'll continue to look into it as we are able.

Cheers,

Sarah

Following discussions with a colleague, I uninstalled and reinstalled the storage service - and the transfer button is now working normally!  Just thought I'd post my solution here in case it helps anyone else with similar issues.
