Apologies for cross-posting.  The following announcement was sent out by The National Archives yesterday, announcing an event in London on December 2nd, 2016:

The Higher Education Archive Programme, Artefactual Systems and AIM25 invite you to a workshop on two key open source products: ATOM and Archivematica, used around the world to catalogue and preserve archive descriptions and digital objects.

The event will provide an opportunity to explore both systems with their developers, Artefactual Systems of Canada, to hear the latest news of their development and future plans. The workshop will include short presentations from existing users and will also cover associated issues such as digital storage, online publication of content and training. The event is an opportunity to explore these systems ‘warts and all’, for frank debate and for sharing ideas. The workshop might appeal to existing users and those considering adopting them.

Please bring laptops if possible: the workshop will include the chance to explore both systems in a hands-on way.

Please book via this Eventbrite link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/higher-education-archive-programme-network-meeting-tickets-29298947942

No, I don't believe the event will be streamed.  We will post some slides and workshop materials afterwards however.
