Implementation/Installation services

Hello, 

We are hoping to hire either a vendor or contractor to install and implement/customize our instance of archivematica, and are hoping someone might be able to refer us. We only need to have the system set up, as we have the support to maintain it once implemented. Unfortunately Artefactual only have a subscription model for their services.

We are currently collaborating with Artefactual to optimize our
self-implemented Archivematica system. This is a one-off project,
during which their team is making adjustments to our reference
environment. Given this, I believe they could also assist with an
initial setup for your institution. If you're interested, I’d be happy

That's interesting, the rep for Artefactual informed us that they don't do any one-time services so maybe I can follow up with them (will not mention specifics).

Hi Elyse, hello Arif,

The short answer is that you are both correct.  Artefactual does carry out one-time services but those do not include one-time installations of Archivematica.  

We have chosen to not provide installation services as a standalone thing people can buy from us for a number of reasons but in short because we haven't found them to be successful (for us or for the client). We find there is a correlation between installation and the required future maintenance.  Our minimum commitment is a 1 year warranty/subscription service.  Elyse - please do follow up with us again if you want to get more details or discuss specifics.

The project we have been engaged on with Arif and his organization is to make improvements to an existing installation of Archivematica.  We do quite a bit of consulting and implementation work along these lines.  Again - happy to explore details with anyone who wants to reach out to us.
