Archivematica 1.11 released!

Dear Archivematica Community,
We are pleased to announce the release of Archivematica 1.11 and Storage Service 0.16!
This release brings a number of new features such as:
The ability to import PREMIS events that happened prior to Archivematica processing
Using Amazon S3 as a transfer source location
Easier access to the AIP METS file
Zipped packages as a transfer type
And enhancements/changes including:
Improvements to performance and monitoring (especially useful in highly automated workflows)
Improvements to disk usage management
Allowing users to choose whether they receive failure email reports
Changing to the name of “sanitize filename” micro-service to “change filenames”
There are also a number of bug fixes, and as discussed on the user forum over the past few months, the quarantine micro-service has been removed and a number of video and image normalization defaults changed. Full details are available in the release notes.
Please note that there are some known issues in this release and we do anticipate patches soon to address these. One is Issue 1149 - AIP replication will not work if you are creating compressed AIPs. This will be fixed in a patch.
We are currently working on preparing Ubuntu packages for manual package installations and will get those published as soon as possible. Packages are already available for CentOS/RedHat. Ubuntu Ansible installations are not affected by the packaging issue.
