Hi everyone,

I am making a new installation on ubuntu 14

running the cli
sudo apt-get install -y archivematica-storage-service

It shows:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 archivematica
-storage-service : Depends: unar (>= 1.8.1-4~) but 1.8.1-2 is to be installed
E
: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

I tried to install unar, and I did the sudo apt-get upgrade. Didn't work.

What should I do?

Hi Tatiana,

I saw this error when setting up an installation recently and it turned out that I had forgotten to enable Artefactual's ubuntu-externals repository in this step from the installation instructions:

sudo sh -c 'echo "deb [arch=amd64] http://packages.archivematica.org/1.6.x/ubuntu-externals trusty main" >> /etc/apt/sources.list'
The version from Artefactual's repository is more recent than the one Ubuntu installs by default.

Hope this helps,
Andrew
