Storage Service errors - "Failure in watchdog thread"

Hi all!

Our instance of the Archivematica Storage Service periodically becomes unusable due to many error messages--one every 5 seconds--filling up its log. The error messages read “Failure in watchdog thread: (2013, ‘Lost connection to MySQL server during query’)”. Has anyone else run into this issue?
