PREMIS import/export

Hi Archivematica community users!

We're doing some initial spec on importing PREMIS events from other systems. We're wondering if you are using another system to generate PREMIS events, what format does it export in? PREMIS XML or wrapped in METS for example? Something else? Any input you have on this situation would be helpful to us.

Hi, not an archivematica user (more of a curious onlooker) ,but as someone who sees my organisation potentially using archivematica in the future, being able to import valid PREMIS V3 XML would be amazing. We do not use METS,but I would imagine that standalone PREMIS would make sense to include?

I'd love the thought of knowing that our past preservation events would be reflected in an archivematica AIP, it allows for a greater sense of continuity when migrating AIPs into your system.

I think that this would be an incredible feature to add and I support it eleventy billion percent!

Hi, Sarah; we’re not using Archivematica at this time at Indiana University, but our current imaging/ingest workflow produces PREMIS XML (v. 3).  That would be great if Archivematica could import this information!

Hi.

This could be very useful.

We are using Premix V1 XML wrapped in METS.

Our metadata exists in MODS format in the METS file. It had been very helpful to import MODS as well.
