Folks,

An interesting study from the Journal of Substance Abuse
Treatment about a post-prison therapeutic community (TC)
for co-occurring disorders which halved the numbers
reimprisoned. Notably, just 9% of offenders randomly
allocated to TC were re-imprisoned compared to 33% after
usual procedures.

The article is available via subscription or one time
payment from the Journal of Substance Abuse Treatment at

A thorough discussion of the article is available for free
from

and that site also provides contact information for the
primary author.
