Dear colleagues,

I have recently received continued funding for an applied
clinical research project in Chicago that provides
evidenced based treatment to formerly incarcerated women
re-entering the community from Cook County Jail, most with
co-occurring disorders. Below my signature are two job
descriptions for both a clinical psychology post-doctoral
fellow and a research coordinator position to work with me
on collecting outcome data. Please feel free to

Post Doctoral Fellow in Clinical Psychology,
Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine

Northwestern University, Department of Psychiatry and
Behavioral Sciences, is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Fellow
in clinical psychology to work under the supervision of
Doreen Salina, Ph.D., in a one year position providing
psychological treatment services to women exiting the
criminal justice system in a community re-entry clinic.
The Fellow will be actively involved in research
activities, program development and will work as part of
an interdisciplinary team. The Fellow will provide direct
clinical assessments, crisis intervention, and individual
and group treatment to female participants at a community
based transitional clinic for women involved in the Cook
County Sheriff�s Women�s Justice Programs, a gender
specific diversion treatment program. The Fellow will have
exposure to specialty court participants and will attend
interdisciplinary staffings inside Cook County Jail and
within specialty courts. The Post Doctoral Fellow will be
responsible for daily program coordination and assist in
research activities. The ideal candidate will have
completed an APA-accredited Ph.D. program, will have at
least two years of direct experience working with
disenfranchised women, including, but not limited to:
incarcerated women, women with mental or co-occurring
disorders, and women with substance use disorders.
Applicant should be familiar with evidenced based
assessment and treatment for women with co occurring
disorders and have the ability to work in a criminal
justice setting. This is a full time post-doctoral
training opportunity which will enable the candidate to
accumulate enough hours for licensure. Benefits are

Research Coordinator
Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine

The Research Coordinator works closely with the Principal
Investigator, Doreen Salina, Ph.D., as part of an
interdisciplinary team providing community re-entry
treatment services to women exiting the criminal justice
system within a community based transitional clinic. The
Research Coordinator is responsible for the accurate
collection of baseline interviews which include clinical
assessments and 6 month follow up activities. Under the
PI�s direction, the research coordinator plans, schedules,
and supervises the entry, review, and basic analyses of
data. The Research Coordinator assures data integrity and
maintains the security of data systems as well as prepare
statistical and narrative reports as requested. The ideal
candidate will have completed graduate studies from an
accredited college or university with a degree in
psychology, Public Health, or statistics, supplemented by
additional training and experience with substance using,
incarcerated or other underserved populations. The
successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work
with diverse populations. Familiarity with research
methods and SPSS is required. This position is 30 hour
weekly program and it provides full benefits. Position
