Post Doctoral Fellow in Clinical Psychology,

Salina & Associates, Inc. is recruiting a Post-Doctoral Fellow in
clinical psychology to work under the supervision of Doreen Salina,
Ph.D., in a one year position providing psychological treatment
services to women exiting the criminal justice system. The Fellow will
be actively involved in providing clinical services and conducting
research activities. The majority of the participants have
co-occurring disorders and they are disproportionately impacted by
violence, poverty and multiple oppressions. Most women are trauma
survivors so an interest in trauma informed treatment is essential.
The Fellow will provide direct clinical assessments, crisis
intervention, and individual and group treatment to women involved in
the Cook County Sheriff's Women's Justice Programs, a gender specific
diversion treatment program in Chicago. The Fellow will have exposure
to specialty court participants and will attend interdisciplinary
staffings inside Cook County Jail. The ideal candidate will have
completed an APA-accredited Ph.D./Psy.D. program, will have at least
two years of direct experience working with disenfranchised women,
including, but not limited to: incarcerated women, women with mental
or co-occurring disorders, and women with substance use disorders.
Applicant should be familiar with evidenced based assessment and
treatment for women with co-occurring disorders and have the ability
to work in a criminal justice setting. This is a full time
post-doctoral training opportunity which will enable the candidate to
accumulate enough hours for licensure. Position is open immediately
and it will remain open until the ideal candidate is identified. The
ideal start date is July 1, 2014, although this date can be flexible.
