it would also be great to encourage an official Teams leads exchange program with some of the other regionals in Australia, this are the details from SOAK
The SOAK Regional Leads Exchange is in its third year. Our goals are:
- Build rapport between SOAK and other regionals
- Develop a network of regional event producers, coordinators and Leads who can support each other year-round on digital channels
- Specifically focus on teaching and learning at the department level, to facilitate growth in our leaders as well as our events
Here's how the Exchange works:- Current
Leads with a recommendation from the Producer qualify for free tickets.
We require producer-to-producer dialogue to approve a Lead and match
them with the right department.
- Leads
need to work a minimum of 12 hours supporting the departments to which
they are assigned, in whatever capacity is helpful to the host event.
They will observe how we do things, share how their event does things,
and be generally awesome.
- Within 30 days after the event, all participating Leads owe Producers of the host event a 'what we learned' one-pager about the experience.
In
the past 2 years, we've received and sent leadership for Gate, Rangers
and Producers. This year alone we'll have visitors for DPW, Fire Safety
and Medical and are sending out DPW, Producers, and more.
