DISCUSSION: Community meeting on Paddock

it has been discussed at ExCom meetings this year about having a meeting at Centre Camp to talk about Kiwiburn. 

previous years have seen the Regional Contact organise an informal chat, tho no ExCom in attendance to answer questions etc as not advised of meet up and had situations to deal with.

what day and time would be most suitable for ExCom members? nb am talking about a perfect world where the week is going smoothly and everyone can make it, in theory.

Thursday afternoon? Saturday afternoon? What suits everyone?

I recommend Thursday afternoon over Saturday. Even morning would be good. I'll be doing site management shifts so it depends at the time but think it's possibly organised well with reminders prior to the chat on-site for those working? Perhaps Site Office could do some reminders over radio that day?

Would be good to have sub-committee and department lead participation/representation too if any are keen. We could put it to the team leads?

it can be any day and time that suits people, can be friday as well. any participant, dept or sub committee can be there. I guess we need to work out a draft agenda.

really trying to gauge interest in doing this - we are all so busy at the mo - and get feedback on whetehr people have capacity for this.

I am flexible regarding timing. Probably pay to look at what either high interest events may be planned to occur at the same time as our proposed slot.

Agree an agenda of certain specific things to cover would be good with an open floor Q&A at the end.  If the session does get locked in at some stage as going to happen then perhaps an announcement to the community on fb/EFP along with request to hit back with any things they want answered or discussed.

Could we entice increased attendance with a high tea (tea and scones, cucumber sandwiches??) to be served at some undisclosed time during the session.

It you want Kiwiburn to survive the next 10 years here is your chance to meet with other interested parties and ask those questions you always wanted to ask, meet some of the faceless Borg that is the excom in their human bodies and talk about how we want to shape our burns into the future

Some double booking of center camp occurred so unfortunately the event has moved to Sunday 12 to 1pm
