All About People (AAP) have provided a proposal for a Site Assessment, Report & an update of event safety plan.

An AAP Health and Safety Specialist will spend time on site to carry out the following with Kiwiburn Incorporated:
  • Physical site walk around assessing risks and providing a report of recommendations.
  • Update your Event Safety Plan as required
  • General consulting
TOTAL $1760.00 +gst

DISBURSEMENTS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE ABOVE PRICE (Flights, Parking, Car Rental, Accommodation, Meals)

Their health and safety team and they think we should be here well before the event to allow tome to make improvements/carry out recommendations etc. They are currently working with another client in New Plymouth and we may be able to combine visits and share disbursement costs.
I would like myself, Ronan and Tania to be on-site to do the site assessment with them. This could coincide with the working bee.

I have updated the 2020 Budget with this amount.
Does anyone have any questions I can put to AAP or issues with this expense? I have not signed the proposal yet.

I don't think we should be committing to this at this early stage.

First we need to sort out our actual event plan and site layout, confirm the Event Management Team and other key Facilitator and Team Leads such as Site Safety, Health & Safety etc - and to do that we first need to finalise the Organisation structure itself.

These outstanding decisons/plans and input from people recruited will impact the scope of any Safety Plan and determine what external input is required.

I think we need to let the Volunteer Team have an opportunity to recruit volunteers to fill the vacant roles and see what skill sets they bring.

I don't think it is time critical to sign up with AAP at the moment and if they are needed.we can call upon their expertise at a later stage.  We can have a contingency in the Budget for H&S consultancy but we shouldn't be committing to a contract just yet.
