OK, it's time to vote on the extra spending above the original budget.  Latest figures on this are:
Budget increases:

- Kitchen - $500 ($5000 --> $5500)
- Fluffers - $300 ($500 --> $800)
- Fire spinning fuel - $100 ($300 --> $400) - Now its own line item

Non-request:
- Portaloos - $2500 ($8000 --> $10,500)

Total - $3900

Capitol Expenditure:

- Generator - $3000
- Fire fighting packpacks - $400
- Depot upgrade - $500
- Kitchen Marquee - $500
- Scaffolding - $400 aprox.

Total - $4800

Grand total - $8700 (although the backpacks are now $500 for the two so it'd be $8800 total)

While we could vote for each individual item, the general view towards these was positive so I'm going to lump them all in one.  If you have an objection to a particular item, please add the details of your objection to your vote, and we'll have a look  at how it comes out after, whether anything specific needs further discussion after we sign off on the rest.

A yes vote is a vote for the budget increases as a group to be accepted (please add any caveat you may have about specific items)

9 people on the excom, 5 votes carries it.

I vote yes.

(also I will be offline till tomorrow afternoon so may not get back to this till then)

Just checking when we will spend this money, and whether or not well have a bit more time to see how the ticket sales go before actually spending it (after this approval)?

My understanding is before the event will be the spending, and we've already held off to check ticket sales once.  The projected figures for the budget with this spending are in the thread entitled Budget Update if you'd like to check them against sales.

Couple of quick notes.

Ticket sales are still strong, we've sold 17 already this week.

We have items in the budget we can cancel if disaster hits and wet don't hit projections.

$5000 - Summit
$800 - crew appreciation

Also we have $2000 miscellaneous as a buffer.

I vote yes.

OK thanks everyone.  That's passed - can we leave it to you and the people concerned to sort out who gets what, how and when, Karl?
