Hi all
I’m starting to get my head around the documentation and actions, and I’d like to focus on getting Asana tidied up and getting an idea of where all the summit actions are at.
I’ve gone through the Excom list and will be adding these in to Asana this week. There are a lot of actions in the Summit Action Points List (in Dropbox) that are assigned to people. It would be really useful to know where these are at, and if they need to be reassigned to other people. I’m happy to do this one of two ways:
1. You let me know in the next week where your list is at, and suggested dates, and I’ll add them in. Flick me an email if you want to do this.
2. I’ll add tasks in to Asana and you can go through your list and update/reassign/delete and assign suggested dates. Do nothing, and this will happen :)
Wendy and Oliver you’re safe since I’ve already cornered you about your lists.
I’d also like to use Asana more for assigning people to things like drafting policy for discussion so that we can start our discussions with text on the table. What I’d suggest is that where I have an idea of who is best to do something or its part of your role, I’ll assign it. You can then adjust dates, or reassign as needed. There’s a comments field you can use to ask questions or nominate others. If this doesn’t work for you, let me know.
Our admin whiz Tania has experience with Asana so if you want her to arrange a short overview of Asana, or a Skype chat to run through the basics, let me know.
Finally, I’ll be picking away at a few tasks like the over the next week. I figure my role is to make processes easier for you, so if I'm doing something that doesn't work for you - please let me know! One of the tasks you’ll see in a few weeks is a bit more of a plan for when decisions need to be made (and scheduled times when we we take a break from decisions) over the year so I can keep an eye on timeframes, and we all get a bit of excom-free time in our year.
