Just received a quote from the Medics for KB13.   Price has gone up a wee bit from $4800 to about $5200 which seems reasonable. 

Here's part of their quote...   I think it's all good.

"Unfortunately due to increasing prices for medical consumables and the increasing quantity being used at the event, as well as ongoing staff training we have had to increase our quote from last year’s price.

This quote is based on full and unimpeded access to the pony shed as it is our intention to implement the suggestions laid out in our post burn report, that being we will base our services from the pony shed, our staff will sleep in the pony shed and the pony shed will be closed at our discretion sometime after midnight each night with a ‘call bell’ located outside the shed and our staff immediately available via VHF radio call."

also, I am also going to write to Paul to talk about him being "head of security," which is something that has come up in dialogues between Jez and he and I.  Will get a quote and some outline of role.
