We are still paying for an automatic subscription to Microsoft Office 365 (Andy flags this, last payment Dec 2018). Can we cancel this now that we have moved to G Suite and Google docs I have the log ins to do so, its $165.00 per year. Poppy is the only current shared user.

sounds prudent to cancel as is now redundant to our org.

Sounds good. Perhaps check with Poppy that she has everything She needs from it before cancelling.

Poppy can you please confirm that you have moved all of your files to GDrive so that I can cancel this subscription? (FYI once you have uploaded a Word etc. doc o GDrive you have the option to convert to a Google Doc/Sheet/Powerpoint - you don't need word to do so).

Yeah - I longer need word, I didn't know we still had it actually.

Sweet I've cancelled the payment and completely closed the Microsoft account for our old ExCom email.

The Kiwiburn laptops have word on them which I imagine the subscription was used for. Cancelling it hasn't caused the programs to stop working- if they do I can install Open Office so there is backup onsite to still make documents etc when the internet is down.

The current subscription should last until December, after that point you could also use Google Docs Offline. I'm not sure how this works with updating info on the master docs online in our Drive though, may need to have a play. If suitable we should install this on both laptops.

slight sidetrack: how many laptops does kiwiburn own? who has them? do we have an equipment register for these things incl tools on site?

We have a summary asset register on Xero accounting package - tools are included but only if cost was over $500.  I have asked that a stocktake of tools be done at next working bee as containers unloaded because we will need a more detailed register if we go ahead with asset insurance policy..  I think last year when reviewing insurance options Nan may have said he had a list somewhere already.

Tania may be best one to know location of laptops.

As far as I'm aware there are 2 lap tops - and OperationsTeam laptop and an AdminTeam laptop. Tania definitely has/had one, not sure about the other. I think I gave it to Karl at my first Summit 2017?

Both were set up to automatically synch with Dropbox. Now that we've switched to GDrive, I'm keen to set up the Google Offline extension to do the same thing for both.

Should we get both laptops to Summit so they can be set up while there over the weekend? Tania, can you bring the Admin laptop please? We'll need to reclaim this anyway.
So we just need to locate the 2nd laptop right?
