Hi all,

(copying in excom fyi)

With only 3 weeks to go until the Kiwiburn Summit, we finally have a (sort of) final list of who's coming, and a draft agenda for your perusal.  In the agenda you'll see there's a section for New Structure.  I've attached a copy of the proposed new structure graphic along with a page explaining the background to the proposal.  Please give some thought to this - it was publicised to all Kiwiburners today, but it's our job to finalise and make it work.

The agenda has no set timeframes, because how long is a piece of string?  As a guide, I'm expecting items 1 and 2 to be done by early afternoon Saturday, to leave time for the important work of nutting out how we move forward.  We're hoping to have Sunday morning to deal with other business.

If you have anything you'd like to add to the agenda, please consider whether it will fit within one of the four items listed before emailing me!  Then make a note of it, and we can talk about it on Friday as part of the finalising.

As there will be 15 of us and Rathmoy only has beds for 10 people, this means some of us will have to bring squabs and bedding, and sleep on the floor.  We need to sort out who this will be before we all turn up without them!  Please let me know what your arrangements are, as there are some people who may not be staying over.

Kiwiburn will be buying food for us all, so it's important to let me know if you have any dietary requirements, allergies, only eat freshly caught- virgin unicorns, whatever.  Please let me know by the 18th if this is you.  We'll also need to sort out how we're going to feed ourselves, cooking teams, etc.

Finally, for those who are incurring travel expenses to get to the event, there is room in the budget for some reimbursement - it may not be a full reimbursement, but it's likely we'll be able to help - so keep your receipts!

OK, that's all for now, please feel free to email with questions, suggestions etc.

Cheers, Wendy

Hi all,

Last call for food allergies and preferences before we sort out a menu.  Please let me know by Friday if you haven't already.

Thank you to Jax, Shelley and Oliver, who've offered to sleep on couches, in vans and tents to free up beds for others.  I will throw in my RV mat just in case, but we should now be sorted for sleeping places.

Getting close now....

;-)

I have a double foam mattress I will bring and throw in a corner. The only meat I eat is seafood, pretty much vege.
Am really happy to cook since I will be mostly taking in info being a noob : )

Hey there. Just back from 10 day vipassana, reintegrating to the world. I will bring my truck up so can sleep there to open beds to others. I am veggo but eat fish on occasion. If anyone is flying into Palmerston, I can give you a ride :)
