Motivation:
Bitcoin is a peer-to-peer, network-based digital currency. There is no
central authority to issue new money or keep track of transactions.
These tasks are managed collectively by the nodes of the network. The
project is open source. More information at http://bitcoin.org
I could not find Drupal modules that implement any functionality of
Bitcoin network.
This module binds Drupal accounts to bitcoin accounts and addresses.
Registered users can create bitcoin accounts, receive payments to them
from Bitcoin network and view transaction list. If allowed by security
settings, user can also create more than one receiving address (limited
or unlimited number according to settings) and transfer bitcoins to
other bitcoin users. Local users with bitcoin addresses receives
bitcoins directly, avoiding Bitcoin network interaction.
This module will be useful, for example, for an auction or e-shop site
dealing with bitcoins.
It uses JSON-RPC to interact with Bitcoin node daemon (bitcoind).
This module uses some of my previously written classes. All of them are
licensed under GPLv2.
For now, all this code seems to work properly (6.20). There may be some
usability and 7.x compatibility issues that I want to work on with the
community.

I work for my university and have created a potentially useful module I
would like to share and get feedback on. It would be great if people
enjoyed my work, but even if they didn't, it would be great to have some
'published' work on the Drupal site to show potential clients as module
development is all the rage!
Basically, this module will incorporate Ubercart and allow the user to
select a specific product and have the module register users. Now I
understand this functionality is easy using conditional actions, but the
ability to have multiple registrations in one transaction - even by an
anonymous user - doesn't exist as far as I know. This isn't the first
time I have needed this so last week I sat down and made it!
Now there is a project out there that has similar functionality but the
guy insists you pay for it and I don't desire to do that. I've made a
lot of money working with Drupal and I feel it's time to give back now
that I'm experienced enough.

of smaller modules which we use to speed up the process of manually data

I've created a module email_publish that allows to publish created
content anonymously from email link.
The module allows configuration based on content-type. It is also
possible to configure messages and email notifications when email link
accessed.
This module is a result of my post http://drupal.org/node/906308 where I
received only 1 reply, so I decided to implement this functionality
myself.
There is a similar module anonymous_publishing
(http://drupal.org/project/anonymous_publishing) exists for Drupal 5 and
it is in dev stage. That module does not allow any customizations and
per-content type settings.
My module already has many interesting features and there are more to be
implemented.
Another module that I'm working on is related to customizable link
icons. The modules that currently exist now are not flexible enough to
provide high level of icons customization. This module is in early
development stage, but is next in my development queue.
Finally, I've been with Drupal for more than 3 years and really exciting
about it's extensible architecture. I'd like to participate not only by
comments, but with some source code as well.
Thanks

I wish to contribute a module which adds a CFD as a node content type. A
CFD (Digital Fiscal Proof - in Spanish) is basically just an electronic
bill. It is in fact a XML file.
This highly specific module is needed in Mexico because of recent laws
regarding taxation require using CFDs.
This module aims to provide support for adding these CFD XML files as a
node type, it also controls access to these cfd nodes in order to show
them to the intended recipients only. The goal is to distribute the XML
files to clients.
The module (called cfd) creates a node type cfd which receives only a
.xml file as input, the node type has no body and populates the title
based on data from the XML file (after validating it against the
government's XSD). Or it can import multiple xml files from a zip file.
To use the module it is necessary to put the XSD 'cfdv2.xsd' inside
'resources/sat/'.
It also provides a page to view and filter CFDs by date. Some module
dependencies are date_api and date_popup. It also uses TCPDF (and XSL)
to display the CFD as a PDF file. To make the complete PDF it is
necesary to put some .xslt files provided by the Mexican government in
'resources/sat/'.

I've written several modules for Drupal 6, however for the purposes of
this application, please review ucbevents.module which fetches XML event
data from http://events.berkeley.edu/ and exposes it to Views to be
displayed.
The module grew out of a need to overcome limitations in the core
aggregator.module, including custom date displays, event type
categorization, and event sorting issues.
The code may be viewed at https://github.com/bfroehle/ucbevents
While the module is highly specialized, there are a large number of <a
href="http://www.drupalcalifornia.com/california-universities/berkeley">Drupal
sites at the University of California, Berkeley</a>, many of which
struggle with the limitations of the aggregator module for displaying
event data -- for example the current recommendations are wholly
inadequate:
<blockquote>
Notes for Drupal 6 Developers using RSS feeds:
1) Follow the simple instructions here to reverse the sort order from
DESC to ASC
http://drupal.org/node/108581#comment-945500
(this is a hack to the Aggregator.module, perhaps will be a
configuration setting in the next update).
2) Events items are Cached so they load quickly if something new is
posted it will likely occur out of order it's important to go into
Drupal Admin: Content Management -> Feed Aggregator -> List
http://WEBSITE.berkeley.edu/[your login]/content/aggregator/list
then click "Remove Items" in the feed list. Now the list on the front
page is blank.
then go to http://WEBSITE.berkeley.edu/cron.php
and it will repopulate from Events.Berkeley.Edu in the proper order.
See sample events feeds on the front pages of two Drupal sites on
campus:

I originally started building this module to fulfill a need in my
current office management position for a small business. They have a
parts room with hundreds of parts and no way to track anything. Just
over a year ago the business didn’t even have an Internet connection.
Anyway, I built a database with drupal and created barcode_listener and
barcode_inventory. These two modules work together to listen for a
barcode scanner that is connected to the computer via usb (or other) and
record the data entered for the corresponding part (node). There are
several uses for a module like this. It works well with the barcode cck
module. Use that module to create and print labels, then use the two
modules here to track whether that item is checked in / out or how many
are in stock etc. Ideally barcode_listener should be an API that
integrates with other custom modules and listens for the scanner then
triggers some action.
This module might be useful for a stock room or small classroom to check
out items / books / tools etc.
I would like to offer my work back to the community and hopefully
receive some feedback and enhance the module to meet other needs.
barcode_inventory integrates with the views module to display a history
of actions (op i.e. in / out, date, user, # of items per transaction).
It also tracks total number of items in stock and hooks into the node
form for the type selected in the barcode inventory settings page if the
stock for that item needs to be updated manually (because not everyone
uses the scanner... all the time)
On the settings page for barcode_listener: set up one character for the
header, also known as the preamble, (set up your bar code scanner to
lead with one odd character that is not found in any of your barcodes,
default is “}”), there is also an advanced option to edit the
javascript function directly (default code is provided in the readme
file). On the settings page for barcode_inventory: select one content
type that is associated with barcodes, select field(s) associated with
barcodes (cck, barcode, and/or title).
A menu item is added with barcode_inventory called Barcode Listener
default tab “Inventory” other tabs: “Check In” & “Check
Out”. On the inventory page you can scan a barcode or enter the code
manually. The module will check if the code is associated with a node,
if not, suggest creating a new one, if yes, display how many are in
stock and last 10 scans.

I was hired at OpenSourcery in Portland almost 3 months ago as a site
builder. Although I've worked with Drupal for over a year an a half,
I've submitted several patches to contrib modules only after working as
part of a Drupal-only development team. I switched over to Ubuntu, I'm
using the command line, and I'm using projects like Drush and Drush
Make. I'm proud to report that I'm going to be at DrupalCon in Chicago
in March.
The module I'm submitting now is something I'm using for a client
project I helped build. It will be called In Person Payment Method, or
"uc_in_person". The client wanted an in-person payment method and
payment tracking system. It is basically a clone of the "Check" payment
method for Ubercart, with configurable titles and descriptions, and
re-worked text that's changed from "receive check" to "process payment".
It creates a table "uc_payment_in_person" to keep track of payments made
using the payment method. Right now it is in a git repo, and drush make
is loading it as part of a site building script. You can see the code at
https://github.com/jessehs/In-Person-Payments.
I want to be a maintainer because I know I have and will develop code
that others could use, and I use the code that others have created every
day. I want to be a contributing member of the community. As a
side-note, OpenSourcery happens to host the monthly Portland Drupal
meetings, and I've been to several since I was hired, including the
local D7 release party. I have a new found appreciation for being a part
of a Drupal community.

Motivation:
Dear reviewers,
on a site I maintain we used textfields and number fields for ICQ and
Skype contact information.
Textfields and numberfields integrate very well with Drupal 7 content
types and the profile module, so I could easily attach those fields to
user profiles.
However, both fields are do not exactly fit here. I could imagine two
more possible things a more specific field type could do:
- Better validation
- Display of the users onlinestatus
Therefore I looked for any modules doing this and found none, but only
some issues requesting something similar features, for example
http://drupal.org/node/28089 .
The requested fields from the example issue doesn't fit in the profile
module. So it has been set to "wont fix".
My custom module does the things I described. Since it provides only
fields, it should integrate well with all existing modules that use the
field api.
You can browse the code on Github (https://github.com/niklasf/imfield )
or download a tarball (https://github.com/niklasf/imfield/tarball/master
).
I want it to be a simple and secure module, because I am using it myself
;) I think others might want to use it, too. The module would benefit
from being hosted on drupal.org. Documentation and issues would be way
more accessible here.
Some details on the implementation:
The module almost only implements hook_field_*. Using those hooks it
registers field types for each Skype and ICQ, a textfield widget and a
plaintext and onlinestatus formatter.
The default theme function for the onlinestatus formatter works as
follows. It is given a URL to an external status icon and displays it as
an image.

has asked me to apply for CVS access in order to co-maintain the

Drupal requirements I've create an issue requesting co-maintainership
here; http://drupal.org/node/1037090
I've recently provided patches to extend uc_multiprice module to not
only allow for ubercart product prices to be different based on country
but also different based on role. Role based pricing is available in
other modules but do not offer the features of dynamic pricing
uc_multiprice and also role based pricing modules are not very
compatible with uc_multiprice module.
Also I've provided a patch which adds a helper module to uc_multiprice
through which users can mass batch update multiprices via a csv file.
As Docc doesn't have enough time available to maintain these new
features he has asked me to co-maintain.

Motivation:
It's difficult for me to explain my motivation in applying for a CVS
account without the fan-boy gushing about the community that the
guidelines warned against. I am thankful for the work of others that has
allowed me to make a living with Drupal, and want to add to that
community - I'll try to leave it at that.
The short version is that I have developed several modules to enhance
the existing Simplenews and SMTP modules. I am going to continue
supporting and enhancing these modules, along with others, and want to
share what will surely be of use to at least a few others.
The longer version is that I have been developing for Drupal for a
little over a year now, and have spent a couple months recently doing a
lot of work with Simplenews for a client. The client, a member of the US
Congress, sends thousands of emails daily to people on various mailing
lists, and needed a system that could take advantage of their multiple
SMTP servers.
The module I am submitted for review is Multi SMTP. It builds on top of
the existing SMTP module (http://drupal.org/project/smtp), which allows
the admin to configure a single server. Multi SMTP adds an interface to
manage serveral servers, and will choose a server at random for each
page request (if a server ID is not explicitly defined in the GET
parameters), so that the load of mail sending is spread across the
servers. The existing SMTP module takes care of connecting to the SMTP
servers and sending the mail; Multi SMTP just adds extra functionality
on top of it.
In addition to this module, I have built a few others to enhance
Simplenews. These require a little clean-up and improvement, but I
intend to contribute them once they are ready:
* Simplenews Threaded Send: sends Simlenews messages from multiple
threads at a time, one for each SMTP server
(https://github.com/brockboland/simplenews_threaded_send)
* Simplenews Global Unsubscribe: exposes an option when a user edits
their account to unsubscribe from all mailing lists, using the
de-activate option that isn't otherwise available to the user
(https://github.com/brockboland/simplenews_global_unsubscribe)
* Simplenews Register Subscriber: adds an Action that will create a user
record when someone subscribes to a mailing list. For use with the
"After a user has been subscribed" Trigger
(https://github.com/brockboland/simplenews_register_subscriber).
I've also got plans to build other modules for more general use:
* Taxonomy term quick add. When creating a post in WordPress, the admin
has the option to "Add New Category" in addition to choosing from the
existing ones. I would like to build a module that adds similar
functionality for non-tag vocabularies. I have not been able to find any
existing modules that add this functionality.
* Node sub-pages. Adds a means for site builders to define sub-pages for
different node types. In this way, creating a node will automatically
make these sub-pages available (by creating menu items and path aliases
for them). This module is about 75% complete. I have not been able to
find any existing modules that add this functionality.

At this point I'm not totally sure what I'll end up contributing if it's
more than just this theme - I have a theme built for my personal web
design business and I wish to make it available for the general public.
I wish to maintain this theme.
My theme is webtechqld and is a theme which has as standard a portfolio
style slideshow on the front - ideal for a web designer, graphic
designer or such. I'm sure there are other themes that do similar - but
this is an unique looking theme which will add variety to the drupal
collection.
I also intend to collect backlinks from theme via a link in the footer
region- although the link is not required and can be removed if anyone
so desires. I'm currently new at themeing - I've been building sites
with Drupal since 2007 and have built many, but this is my first theme
and I want to hopefully do more along these lines.

Hello,
I would like to contribute and maintain a module called Views Contextual
Displays.
Summary:
The module extends the Display Suite Object row style plugin for Views
allowing contexts, defined through the Context module, to set build
modes dynamically. This enables us to create a View of which the
rowfields can be dynamically switched depending on the context.
This is useful if you would like to build a view with objects who have
restricted fields. Logging in with trigger a context which would set the
build mode with all the fields while anon users would see a restricted
build mode. Using clunky field permissions is no longer required.
This module has been build with support/tips from Swentel, maintainer of
Display Suite.
A ready to commit first dev version can be found here:
https://github.com/netsensei/Views-Contextual-Displays
Only supports D6 atm but when feature complete, I plan a port to D7.
Thank you!

In writing some modules for our own in-house use, we found that we
needed a "time" forms API field. The module is initially based on the
work found here: http://drupal.org/node/169418
In order to keep things in our code separate, as well as contribute back
to the community, we chose to add the form element into a custom module
so others can easily use it. Additionally, we improved on the work in
that post to take string input and output (eg. 14:32) so it is easier to
handle. In a future release, we may work to also handle AM/PM.

I'm a long term user and project manager for Drupal related projects,
and I have even attended a Drupalcon (Szeged). Normally my contributions
haven't been code related, or the code needed to remain private due to
unfortunate legal requirements.
Now I've developed a module which implements the core
MailSystemInterface to redirect all Drupal 7 email traffic to the
recently announce Amazon Simple Email Service (Amazon SES) service. I'm
not affiliated with Amazon.
If requested, I'd be happy to share the current code for revision. Right
now I can show this picture to demonstrate the code works (well, you're
gonna need to believe me!):

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions.
Cheers.
