first message to "union" ARKA email list

This is a first message to the new ARKA email list representing the union of the existing ARKA groups. 

It's taken a while for the individual member "direct adds" and group invitations to come through and I'm hoping that no one has been overlooked. There are still a few addresses that googlegroups is struggling with -- if you appear in the CC list of this message, please visit the union list (https://groups.google.com/g/archival-resource-key-alliance) to make sure you're properly subscribed so that you don't miss what may be important messages.

I'm assuming that each of you is also subscribed to the public arks-forum list, where you will have seen the exciting news that the ARK resolver software will be upgraded Monday June 24.

At its meeting on April 11, the ARK Alliance (ARKA) Advisory Group proposed a new email list that includes everyone in any of the four ARKA groups (NAAN, outreach, tech, advisory). The purpose would be to facilitate cross-group ARKA communication. 

In trying out this "union" of groups list (google group), each group member should expect either an invitation to join the new list, or (where existing addresses were linked to google accounts) to have been added to it directly. The new list is

The list name "ark alliance" conflicts with an existing gaming community, and "arka" wasn't available. To be reachable from other groups, please accept if you receive an invitation.

Members should also expect to receive invitations from github to become contributors to the "github pages" repository that now hosts the arks.org website content. This is the github equivalent of the role served by login credentials for the former arks.org Wordpress-based website.
